UM Profile Page Virtual Tour

  • I have read many times on this forum about how the gear icon (or cog) on the right side of the UM profile page is not the obvious thing to click on to edit a profile page.

    Would a virtual tour be helpful to address, not only that issue, but the importance of filling in all required fields on your profile form (and even those that aren’t)?

    I have created a plugin {“UM Profile Form Tutorial”) which installs a button to start a virtual tour to your UM profile page. This way your users will be aware of how easy it is to create a page and never fail to complete their profile pages.

    I believe that with a simple virtual tour, even the least computer savvy person can feel confident enough to create their own profile page on your web site.

    Just to let the community know that the plugin is ready and can be searched and found through the plugin search utility on www.remarpro.com.

    This plugin add on is essentially a virtual tour to teach people how to fill out their profile forms. It might seem obvious, but many new users who register for the first time can’t even find the gear icon to edit their profiles.

    This virtual tour teaches them that and could be expanded to one’s fields requirements.
