UM combine first and last name fields.

I am using ucommerce and Ultimate Member plugin, which is divided into Last name and First name.
I hope to delete the Last name field and unified it into one(only first name), but existing users are joined with two fields.
May I combine the first and last name fields of existing users?
And, can I delete one of the two fields? ex) first name…
