Ultimate Social Media Icons update crashed my site

  • I just chose to update Ultimate Social Media Icons. Now most pages on my website (www.onelifetours.ca) display this:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function date_diff() in /home/onelife1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-social-media-icons/libs/controllers/sfsi_socialhelper.php on line 459

    I don’t even really use Ultimate Social Media Icons and would just as soon remove it, but when I click on it in the dashboard, it turns red and I get a neverending timer circle and nothing else in the centre of the screen. All my other plugins are accessible through the dashboard.

    How can I get rid of this plugin?
