I am trying out this plugin, but it doesn’t show all of the buttons on my website. How do I get it to show all of the share buttons and how do I get it to show them in the style I want? It only shows one style and four buttons.10:59

Thanks for reaching out @birdbraingraphics! Do you refer to these social buttons https://screencast-o-matic.com/i/c010jjVBS7t? If yes, then only those 4 are available in the free plugin. If you want to enable more of that type please check this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/

That’s a real shame. How is a person supposed to know if they want a plugin if they can’t see it in it’s full potential. This certainly doesn’t lure me to want to buy it. I am very dissapointed.

@birdbraingraphics Let me clarify: Is your question why the icons you selected under question 1 (the round ones) don’t show on your website?

If so, then please select under question 3 that you want to show the icons you selected under question 1. Currently you seem to have selected to show the rectangle icons under question 3, after blog posts. Could you please try out the other placement options too?

    Thread Starter birdbraingraphics

    (@birdbraingraphics)

I have not selected a rectangle for the icons. That is what comes up. It doesn’t seem to let me change that style. I chose a blue glossy icon to see if it would change. I originally wanted the cute icon, but it won’t show either.

I tried to do a screen shot, hoping I could show you but it won’t copy into this text. Understandably, but I thought I’d try anyway.

Nothing is resolved. It doesn’t matter what I change the icons I want to show do not come up as I want them look or how many I want to show.

Ok, could you please select under question 3 to show the icons floating on your page? Does it then show the icons you selected under question 1?

    Thread Starter birdbraingraphics

It doesn’t even show the icon

Could you please clear cache? By that, I mean…
    – The browser cache, see https://www.solutionbay.com/solutions/dont-know-how-to-clear-the-cache-1
    – Please also check if you have a cache plugin installed. If so, please disable it temporarily, and check if it’s ok now

Still not working. I’m not a computer wiz but I have been working on computers for the last twenty odd years doing graphic design. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much trouble trying to get a plugin to work. I’ll keep trying a few more things, but if I can’t see how it works without paying for it I’ll just keep looking for a different social media plugin for my web site.

Thank you for your help so far.

Would it be possible to take a screenshot of your settings in the plugin under question number 3 “Where would you like the icons to show” and post it here so we can check your selections?

    Thread Starter birdbraingraphics

    (@birdbraingraphics)

I don’t think that will be necessary. I don’t want to have the share icons anywhere other than at the bottom of each post/page. It looks as if without buying the plugin, I won’t be able to see what they look like. I’m a little dissapointed that I won’t be able to see the share buttons I want without purchasing it.

The only time they showed up as the icons I chose was as floating icons and I don’t want floating icons. Without seeing the icons the way I want them I can’t see why I would purchase them.

Regarding how they look: they are the same icons as those which show when you select them to float over your pages. Placing them at the bottom of your posts automatically is a premium feature indeed but you also have the option to insert them manually at the bottom of posts/pages via shortcode. Could you please try that?

    Thread Starter birdbraingraphics

    (@birdbraingraphics)

I am not sure what you mean by place manually.

The guys at WPBeginner created a nice tutorial about shortcodes. Could you please check https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-a-shortcode-in-wordpress? Our shortcode is under the “place via shortcode” placement option in question 3 in the plugin.

    Thread Starter birdbraingraphics

    (@birdbraingraphics)

Thank you I will give it a try.

Where do I find the shortcode for this plugin? I’ve been down the settings and the only shortcode I can see is for subscription and not for the buttons.
