• I’ve been having problems with my site for a week or so, and today resorted to a complete reinstall of WordPress. Every time I went to upload pictures (all 3 methods – browser uploader, multi-file uploader, and directly in posts/recipes using “Add Media”), I get an HTTP error. Upon deactivating the plugin (came along with the reinstall of WP), I had no issues uploading media, and I’m currently uploading my images without Ultimate Recipe installed and without problems.

I enjoy this plugin, and it’s the only problem I have – unfortunately it’s a big one.

That’s strange, I don’t think I’ve seen this issue before. Which version of our plugin are you using? Free or premium?

    The free version!

I honestly have no idea how our plugin could be causing this. We don’t really change anything related to the image upload. Haven’t had any other users with this problem either, as far as I’m aware.

Where are you hosted? What version of PHP are you using? Seems like upgrading to PHP 5 fixes the issue in some cases.

There are quite a few things you can try mentioned over here, but you might have gone through those already:

I use GoDaddy’s hosting, using PHP ver 5.4. I’ve been going through those as well, but I thought I’d stop by here just in case any devs could help.

I know how frustrating that must be. Would love to help you out but really have no idea what could be causing this.

Did you contact GoDaddy for checking file permissions and .htaccess files?
