• Hey guys, I hope you can help me with this:

Since I installed the plugin in Version: 2.0.13 the registration options are not working, not matters if I choose Require Email Activation or Require Admin Approval.

The users fills the form and they’re directly log in, I’ve read some topics with similar issues and some of them says is fixed in new version: 2.0.16 but still don’t work for me, I also have the WP SMTP installed and the settings are ready, also the Emails on Ultimate Member > Settings > Emails are enable.

Can some one help me? What can I do to make it work?

You can see my Registration Options settings here: https://prntscr.com/jlsl7d

  • I am having the exact same issue, i upgraded to 2.0.16 last night and it stopped sending the activation email and started auto approving users and sending them to the home page.

I’m testing in 2 sites, the original where the info comes, and another one for test and is rare, in the test one the plugin is working fine but in the other one, is not, I’ve literally expend the all day working making changes and deactive/deleting plugins that may be interrupting and I got no progress so far!

The problem is not related to email SMTP, because the user does receive the Welcome email. I have also tested manually re-sending the activation email via the user profile “Resend Activation Email” and it works. Something went wrong between version 2.0.13 and 2.0.16.
Does anyone know how to go back to 2.0.13, i should have backed up my site before taking the upgrade. ??

Jajajaja, sorry, I think is funny about the backup but you may be right, can you test this option: Require Admin Approval

And tri to register a new user and see if it let you approval manually, I may help me to see if we’re having exactly the same issue.

    I will appreciate it!

Also, you should make a backup now just in case something else go wrong.

/ALL/ Can anyone help us? ??

Yep already tried that too. It automatically approves the user, before the Admin Approval…

    Hi @davdramos,

What theme do you use and do you have any custom code in your theme’s function.php file?

    Regards.

Hi @ultimatemembersupport, thanks for your answer.

And nope, so far I haven’t touch fuction.php or any files of the theme, if there’s something else you need to know to help me please let me know!

    Thanks once again!

twentysixteen and yes i have lots of custom code, but everything worked before i upgraded…

I just switch Themes to Twentyfifteen with not custom code in the function.php and recieved the same behavior. Its auto approving and returning users to the home page with displaying the message and sending the activation link.

    @ultimatemembersupport

I got the same problem after upgrading to 2.0.16.
Ulmimate member is now auto approving users.
My settings are set to “Require Admin Approval” on all role.

Please find a fix for that! QUICKLY!
