Ultimate Member plugin not working after php update from 5.6 to 7.2

    Hi Team,

    I have updated php from 5.6 to 7.2.34 after the updation the Registration is not working properly. Login and other functionalities are working though.

    It shows the registration page after filling the details when I click register button it shows there is a critical error. Please inform what can be done. Also I have updated ultimate member plugin with latest version.

    Could you please tell us what version of UM you’ve installed on your site? Are you able to check if there are any PHP error logs in the server so we can review them? You can contact your hosting provider to assist you with retrieving the error logs.

    Php error log file not showing any error.

    Hi @sagar62

    Did you turn on the WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG in the wp-config.php file before testing the issue and see if there are more errors in the log file?

    Hi

    I caught the error but I am not able to resolve it
    May be ultimate member is using mcrypt_decrypt function for password encryption and decryption which has been removed from php 7.2 and instead libsodium is used so how can i shift ultimate member plugin to use this function ??

    Hi @sagar62

    UM is using the WP core wp_insert_user / wp_create_user function when registering a user we don’t have a feature that uses mcrypt_decrypt function.
