Ultimate Member Plugin does not allow users to add new post when activated

    When users go to click ‘Add New Post’ it takes them to noextrasource.com rather than creating a new draft. They were originally contributors, so I tested a user with a new role with the appropriate WP capabilities as well as an administrator and neither worked – they both lead to the same result of the main page.

    When disabled, users can create a draft. I disabled plugins 1 by 1 to identify the problem and it was UM. I have searched thoroughly and the supposed answer was to enable the correct WP capabilities of edit and publish private posts etc, but nothing worked. Any solutions to this please? Thanks!

    Could you please confirm that you have added/checked the following WP Capabilities in the UM User Role settings?

    – edit_posts
    – edit_published_posts
    – publish_posts
    – create_posts
    – edit_pages
    – edit_published_pages
    – publish_pages
    – read

    Yeah, I even enabled all just to test and it still didn’t work. I am able to add new post as administrator, but when I made another account administrator and tried to add new post, that didn’t work either!

    I’m stumped. Appreciate any help, thanks.

    Could you please try installing this plugin and see if the role capabilities match the ones in the UM User Role settings?
