    Hello,

I would really like to use your plugin for front end user login, profile, etc. It fits nicely with Theme X and everything looks pretty nice. Something that has been chaotic with other profile/login plugins. But I’m having a problem that when I try to login with clef your plugin seems to ignore authentication and sends be back to the login screen. Also, wp-login.php is disable which is nice but it completely locks me out of my site so I have to disable your plugin via ftp.

I google the topic but it seems like it has been on standby for several months.

Clef is a very easy to use plugin and gives you a good night rest if you have a nightmare of a shared host, hehe.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes Clef conflicts with UM at the moment and we have not yet had a chance to look into it as they change completely how login works so it is not an easy thing to make compatible from looking at it so far.

We’ll see if we can do more testing on it but we cannot guarantee we can make UM work with that plugin.

Does clef provide any docs on their site that may help us?

    Thanks ??

    Hello,

Yes they do have documentation. I came across 2 docs. One walks you on how to implement Clef yourself and how the technology works.

    Main:
    https://docs.getclef.com/v1.0/docs

I then realize that it was a bit too much work to do for something like adding a button.

What I really needed was a simple shortcode.

    WordPress:

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you!

Yes we have not really did anything on clef compatibility as it seemed to require lot of testing/code editing on our part which why it was delayed, we didn’t receive too many requests about making UM clef compatible and we even doubt that it could be.

    Hello,

Yes, I can understand that for sure. Before your plugin existed I implemented a ‘BBpress’ site with ‘Theme My Login’ and ‘User Meta’. The current site I’m working with ‘Paid Membership Pro’ and they recommend ‘Theme My Login’ but I wasn’t really happy with the looks. Today, I started looking into how to customized (hacking into the PHP files) the login form from ‘Theme My Login’ and their CSS file. I manage to get it to look okay. But note that the manipulation of the ‘Clef’ login button was easier than I expected since it loads on an iframe.

Anyways, just wanted to thank you for considering it and I will definitely use your plugin in the future. I would like to update that old ‘BBpress’ site with your plugin. And definitely hack away on a different install with UM and Clef when I have some spare time. Right now I want to finish what I started and then I have to write up some “content” ugh… haha.

    Thanks again!
