Ultimate Member – 414 Request – URI Too long

    Hello all,

    I have just installed this plug in (Ultimate member), as soon as I activated it, all my access to /wp-admin is gone.

    I can view the website if not logged in, but as soon as I want to access the back end e.g. dashboard, the error comes out.

    It seems like it is auto redirecting me to a very long link hence the error.

    How do I fix this?

    Do I have to go to cpanel?

    Hi @exonex,

    Can you login using your UM login page? If you can’t login at all, you can use the file manager or cpanel & go to wp-content->plugins folder. Then rename the plugin folder name ultimate-member which will deactivate the plugin. I suggest you to install UM in a fresh wordpress install first and see if you can recreate this issue. Your issue is most likely caused by any other plugin is conflicting with UM.

    I can log in to the “wp-admin” side and go to a random link within my website. But as soon as I go to the homepage or /wp-admin, it goes to the error.

    Unfortunately I have no access to Cpanel. I was hoping to find an answer without needing to access file manager or cpanel.

    Regardless, I have now escalated this to our hosting provider.

    I believe you’re right too as I have tried to install the plugin with my other wordpress website and works fine. It may have been because of another plugin.
