UGH! Categories Problems

Hi guys, since upgrading to 1.5.1 my categories are all screwed up. It used to list the category and then a post count of each category. Now it doesn’t. It just lists all the categories and sub-categories in one lump. I’ve searched throughout this forum for help but I can’t seem to find the solution to my problem.

Currently I’ve just hard-coded my categories down the side until I can find a solution. If someone can help me that would be great! I’m not a programmer so my PHP knowledge is non-existant. (Hey I’m a designer! I make things pretty! But I need some under the hood help!)
