UAM w/ wp REST api

This plugin doesn’t appear to work with the wp REST api v2. Regardless of a post/page’s assigned access and the status of the logged-in user, the list of posts/pages returned by the api always appears to show the unauthorized version of the rendered content, and the individual post endpoint of the api appears to always show the authorized version of the post/page’s rendered content.
This may also be a problem with the way the api is implemented but I am tempted to think that this plugin isn’t using the optimal hooks to make it work well in the wordpress ecosystem.
