• Hello Daan,

I noticed your e-mails very late, sorry about not being able to respond (too many e-mail accounts to manage!) :/

Since the last time I reported some issues with outbound tracking, I had to go for Google Tag manager and managed, customized all my outbound trackings via this tool.

However, recently I had some site speed issues and no surprise it was all about Google Tag Manager scripts.

Since you have fixed everything and introduced GA4 as well, I have switched back to CAOS which helped me to gain back that performance edge again! Many thanks for your excellent work!

My question is that I was using Google Tag manager with my UA + GA4 connected data stream. So my both UA and GA4 were working smoothly in sync.

However, when I switched to CAOS and started using Analytics.js with UA tag, I have had some strange experiences. First, I thought I should be able to see only UA analytics since I’m using Analytics.js with UA. However, today I have also seen users on both UA and GA4 interface.

So I thought it was working because those were connected to each other.

However, when I do some testing (enabled track logged-in users + deactivated filters to exclude my IP on both admins sections in GA4 + UA), I can not see my visit on GA4 only on the UA interface. But I’m 100% sure that 5 mins ago I saw a user on GA4 as well.

Am I missing something? I’m a bit lost ?? Should I switch to V4 API and use my respected tag?

I would prefer pushing data to both platforms as GA4 enables me to track real-time stuff easier, more in real-time (lacking a lot of stuff still) whereas I use UA logs for user activity and conversions with respective user data for my reports.

Sorry for my long message, any suggestion for me?

    Many thanks,

    Kind regards

    Osman
