typesense can indicize urls outside the WP DB?

Hi @nikketrikke,

By default the plugin is intended to index posts / content from WP site to typesense. It’s not possible out of the box to crawl other websites and index them.
This can technically be done – but it would require customization on your part,
currently this isn’t something we are looking to add to the plugin.

i have a site where i need to search only on titles of products
so also have only few words to be translated
the most important words that can make my products searcheable
e.g. colors
or word like type of leather or like cover and so on
so using a normal FREE search engine like AWS search (one of the better for free with ajax capability)
you can search the words on main language of your sitebut if you add in specific synonim field
all the words you want make searcheable in different languages…
it will find them..
and if yuse like me gtranslate plugino (the pro version)
the developers make the window ajax of search AWS plugin translate…
it owrks like a charm
the only problem is if need many words to be translated and filled in synonim field could be time consuming`
