please replace line 152 in types/includes/fields-form.php from:

if ( version_compare ( ICL_SITEPRESS_VERSION, '3.2', '<' ) ) {

to:

if ( defined( 'ICL_SITEPRESS_VERSION' ) && version_compare ( ICL_SITEPRESS_VERSION, '3.2', '<' ) ) {

I updated and tested with both 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 and can confirm that the issue is resolved.
