Typepad import and the sitemap plugin

Just a quick tip for folks who find themselves in a similar situation. I was importing a large blog – more than 2,000 entries and 25,000 comments – from Typepad into WordPress. The import kept timing out after 60 seconds and several dozen blog posts. I finally discovered that the Google Sitemap plugin was causing the timeout. I disabled that, and was off to the races.
