I’ve recently updated NextGen Gallery to the latest version, am using the latest version of WP (6.2) and the latest PHP version (8.2) and everytime I scan a folder for new images I now get the following error:

    TypeError thrown

Cannot access offset of type string on string

Changing my PHP version to 8.0 or 8.1 does not help, and I can not roll back any further! Please help?

    Hi @alexmoy,

Could you please try uploading an image to WP Media to see if that properly works and let us know here?

Hi. Uploading through the NGGallery plug in works, it seems to be when I upload via FTP and then scan folder for new images. I’ve not had this problem before now.

Uploading to WP Media through the admin works too

    Hi @alexmoy,

That’s odd. Could you please try to add by FTP a single low resolution image to a gallery folder then scan that gallery to see if NGG will add it?
