TypeError: $container.masonry is not a function

Hi,

Basically the Masonry JS file is not being included in the site for some reason. We specifically include it with the Masonry template as part of FooGallery as it is a dependency. That said it looks like either the theme or another plugin might be removing it for a particular reason and we would have to look through their code to figure out why.

I would suggest creating a staging site and then performing some testing to figure out if it is the theme or another one of your installed plugins that is removing Masonry.

To follow up on Steve’s response, would you ensure you have a backup of your site and then test by deactivating all of your plugins and then enabling them one by one and retesting your site to see if the Masonry gallery is working again? This should help you to isolate the plugin that is removing the Masonry javascript.

If deactivating your plugins have no effect you can also try swapping your theme to a default theme such as 2017 and see if the Masonry gallery works. Please ensure that you have a full backup of your site before switching themes as sometimes some settings (particularly widgets) can be affected. Better yet use a staging site for testing if possible.

In the meantime I’ll mark this support request as resolved as it appears to be caused by external plugin / theme issue rather than by FooGallery.
