Two Years of Posts Deleted and Trash is Empty

Earlier today, I noticed most of our recent posts were in the trash. I had not put them in the trash. I restored each of them and stickied them so they would show up on the front page. Everything seemed to be working well.

Some time later, I noticed that we have lost all of our posts for over two years. The trash link is not showing up and I assume that means that the trash is empty. Any ideas on what we should do? I’m desperate for some assistance.
