two user_meta tables

For some reason in my database I have the regular wordpress table wp_usermeta which isn’t being used and a table hyg_usermeta which is storing the website user info. When I try and delete the users using a meta_data nothing is deleted b/c it is using the wrong table. How can I set it to use the hyg_usermeta table?
