Two Title Tags

    When I look at the meta title tag, I see it has two of them, like this:

    <title> Home | Title of my pageTitle of my page</title>

    I am using SEO by Yoast plugin and it shows correctly in the “Snippet Preview” and the “SEO Title” fields. It is also correct in Settings/General.

    Any idea what might be causing this?

  • Could be a conflict with how your theme is coded, have you tried disabling SEO by Yoast to see if it shows only one title?

    I disabled the plugin as you suggested, and it did correct the issue.

    Any idea what I need to change in the plugin to fix this?

    You would have to change the code in your theme or did you try using the Force Rewrite Titles option in SEO by Yoast under the Titles & Metas General tab?

    I checked the box “Force Rewrite…” and it fixed the issue.
