Two small template issues

  • Hi Guys,

    I recently updated the template I was using and it changed my widths a bit which is causing me a few issues and I wonder if somebody can help me. I am pretty handy with css but this has really got me.

    1. I am trying to increase the overall width of the content area which is easy enough, the problem is that everytime I increase the pixels it pushes the widget area in the right sidebar to the bottom of the page. Alignment, formatting etc are all still fine and it still floats right but I can’t for the life of me work out why it’s being shifted to the bottom of the right sidebar.

  • Honestly, no time to check your theme, css and such, but when you push something below, that means you’re taking too much width for the two items to coexist on the same line. Simple as that. Add dimensions of blocks, plus margins, plus paddings…

    Thanks Sabinooo, that’s the first thing that I looked for too, thing is all my internal column widths are percentages, it is only the main container that has a fixed width in pixels
