Two sites using plugin, one site not – cookies for login

Thanks in advance for any help! I have two sites mapped using the plugin. I saw a post by the creator of this plugin saying that new domains can be mapped natively while old sites are left on the plugin, so when I created a third site, I decided to try mapping that natively. The sites that are mapped with the plugin have a lot of images so my original plan was to leave them mapped with the plugin for the time being.

However, I can’t log in to the new site because of the cookie error. I tried adding “define( ‘COOKIE_DOMAIN’, $_SERVER[ ‘HTTP_HOST’ ] );” to wp-config.php after all the multisite parts as the sticky post says, but then I get a different error message:

The constant “COOKIE_DOMAIN” is defined (probably in wp-config.php). Please remove or comment out that define() line

Is there some different code I can add to fix this? Or will I have to either use the plugin for all sites or remove it? Is there any chance that if I try mapping the old sites natively before removing the plugin that it’ll change the image URLs for me?
