Two s2 Membership Sites Using Same S3 Bucket Cloudfront
-
What is the proper way to configure two s2 Member websites to use the same content from the same Amazon S3 bucket through Cloudfront?
I was about to use the identical Cloudfront Key Pair Id and Private Key info I am using in my primary s2Member installation in the fields for the secondary s2Member installation (which is a backup site)
But when I entered that info in the s2Member fields without checking the “Yes, automatically configure” box and tried to save it, I was prompted to let s2Member automatically configure the distributions (which I decided not to do) wouldn’t that RE-configure / reset the distributions I’m already using with the primary site and corrupt them?
Should I create a new Cloudfront Key Pair Id and Private Key though the Amazon Console and enter that into my second S2 Member install and let it create an entirely new set of distributions?
Will I then have 2 sets of distributions (4 total) that access the same bucket without issues?
I want to play this safe and not disrupt my Members’ videos.
(I know this is complex stuff. Love that s2Member has all this integration capability and is constantly evolving. Thank you!)
