Two Questions from a PHP beginner

  • Hey folks – I am hoping I can get two quick questions answered here. I am a .Net developer by trade, but have been asked to assist on a WordPress project, so I am jumping head first into PHP. After reading and researching, it is my understanding that there are plugins allowing us to write PHP code within a WordPress page. If this is correct, could someone point me to a plugin they are using for this purpose that has worked well for them?

    Question 2 – I’m sure there are a thousand possible answers here, but I am looking for a stable IDE that will let me do the basics when coding PHP. I’d prefer to avoid notepad if possible… Any suggestions?

    RunPHP.

    Alternatively, WordPress 2.1 comes with a little checkbox below where you add your content that you can enable PHP to run or not weithin each post – your preference and no plugin required.

    As for the second – sorry. I’m a strict NotePad user.
