Have 2 multisite installations on one IP (DV):
    siteone.com
    sitetwo.com

Everything worked fine until today when Media Temple enabled webstats on sitetwo (it was always active on siteone – the ‘primary’ site). Now sitetwo will not display subdomains but instead displays-

‘link broken’ page with this url – https://siteone.com/wp-signup.php?new=subdomainname.sitetwo.com

    Can anyone help? MT can’t.

    Thanks

  • Are the webstats on a subdomain? I’m guessing the creation of that messed up the wildcard record.

Thanks – The webstats are activated via plesk control panel on a per domain basis. Weird thing is if I change the ‘primary’ domain from siteone.com to sitetwo.com, the problem reverses, I can now access all the subdomains of sitetwo but none on siteone.com

So they must have wildcard subdomains set for only the primary domain – which is not terribly unusual.

on the dv you do have ssh access, so you’re gonna hafta go edit the httpd.conf file.

Thanks, I’m almost sure mt had a kb article that walked me through this before. Looked everywhere, can’t find one is there any article you know of?

    Found, used https://wiki.mediatemple.net/w/DV:Setup_Wordpress_network_with_subdomains

Still not finding subdomains of ‘sitetwo.com’.
