Two minor issues with the From: header name

  • Very happy with the plugin as it did what i needed with little fuss. There are two issues I noticed, and while not a deal breaker, I figured I’d bring some attention to them.

    1.) When using the HTTP API option and supplying a custom ‘From:’ header, the name portion (ie From: Acme Inc <[email protected]>) gets over written by the WordPress Site Title. It would be nice to be able to supply a custom From: name. One usage example would be to supply a department (ie. From: Acme Inc – Accounting”

    2.) When using the HTTP API and, as mentioned above, the From: header gets over written, AND the WordPress Site Title has an ampersand in it, the name gets truncated. ie. John & Jane => From: Jane <[email protected]>
    when using SMTP, the ampersand gets changed to its html special chars version. ie From: John & Jane

    Anyway, there you go.
