Two issues: Only shortcode in email & lost link form not working

  • Hi there,

    Awesome plugin you have there! I use it to run a campaign among translators and interpreters to motivate them to go outside and move (run, hike, walk, etc.).

    I have a problem, two actually. The emails sent (rich text) do not show the private link, but the actual shortcode as is: [record_link].

    And secondly, when a user hits the link to have their private link resent, the form doesn’t do anything. I have noticed that the table outlines are not complete. I tried it “on same page” and on a dedicated page. I disabled the plugin and reactivated it. I checked for plugins that send emails – I don’t have any. Aside from the theme’s contact form.

    And idea?

    Hi Tanya,

    First, on the outgoing email, check your email template in text mode to make sure there isn’t anything hidden in there that is interfering with it working.

    On the resend link functionality, I just tested it and it seems to be working….of course, my email address wasn’t found, but the form did respond as it should.

    Sometimes, when this kind of thing happens, it’s due to page caching. Are you using a performance or caching plugin? You may need to set it so that page caching is not in use on the signup form page.

    Oh gosh, I just typed a longish response, but then WordPress died on me. ??

    Okay, it (Resend Private Link) works for me now, too. Still doesn’t work for my colleague (in the same room with me). Not sure about the other two participants who reported problems.

    I’m a semi-professional WordPress “designer”, so I am pretty firm with text mode and html. There’s nothing there that bothers the shortcode. Or should.

    So yes, I think I might email you if the other two say it still is acting up. I already ruled out that it might be gmail.

    As for plugins, I’m only running Antispam Bee, Elegant Themes Updater, Shariff (Social Buttons), Limit Login Attempts, Image Widget and PDB.
