Two Instances of the Timeline

    The site I am working on has the same timeline but in English and Spanish. So I need two instances on the site. I’m fine with typing in all the entries a second time in Spanish. I don’t need translation. I just didn’t see a way to create two timelines on the same site.

    Thanks for your help. I love this plugin.

    Hi @sdagency,

    You have two options here. Your first option is to use a plugin such as Loco translate, Polylang or WPML to allow you to translate each announcement. You could then use a language switcher to allow your users to select their language and display the announcement in that language.

    The other option would be to purchase Timeline Express Pro, which allows you to create and display multiple timelines on the same page, or on separate pages (however you see fit). You could create your English announcements and your Spanish announcements and then generate two timelines with shortcodes along the lines of:

    [timeline-express timeline="English"]

    [timeline-express timeline="Spanish"]

    Thanks. I think we’ll just not do one of them in Timeline Express.

    Sorry if I jump in. I do use Polylang but it doesn’t allow to translate the announcements. So the only option is to make new ones in the other language. But then the problem is in the shortcode. How do I make a second [timeline-express] so that it reads the translated announcements ?
