• I am in the process of creating a website for the first time using minimatica as a theme for my photography website. I have had several difficulties. I have two home pages…one page that I created and the other that is the actual home. I can’t get the photo slider (or anything else) to appear on the actual home page. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I am using Windows 7 and chrome…if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Maybe you didn’t set the front page in the Reading Settings? If so just go to Settings -> Reading and set your front page display.

    Hope this helps. ??

Yes, I set the front page in the reading settings, but how do I get the slider to show up on the home page b/c the only way I could get pictures to show up in the slider was to make separate posts and label the pictures in the different posts as featured images…however, when I put images into the home page, I don’t get the option to choose featured images.

If you go to my page, you can see that it opens to a page labeled home, however, at the bottom there are two homes. If you click on the second home, that is what I would like to be on the actual homepage/

Do you mean you want to put the slideshow and then the posts underneath it?

No, this is the page that I want to come up as my homepage

and I can’t figure out how to make this page my actual homepage..which is why I have two homes…if that makes sense.

Oh now I get it! Did you try in setting it in the theme settings under appearance? Set your home page to gallery view. And the rest as blog.

I tried that, but it still isn’t working. I appreciate your help though.
