I am setting up a site using the Luminescence Lite theme. I’ve used the theme elsewhere and not encountered this issue so I’m stymied as to what the problem might be. I originally used a different theme and had a header on it that was a different size than what this theme uses. I switched to this theme because if fits in better with the rest of the non-wordpress part of the site, but that old header is still there. When I upload and set a new header that is the correct size, I end up with two headers. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions? Thank you

  • Are you using the WP Header feature under the Appearance menu of the dashboard?

Yes I was using the header feature in the Appearance menu of the dashboard.

I have solved the issue by deleting the unwanted header image, but it’s just weird that it displayed them both no matter what else I did with the header or where I did it.

I did check the files to make sure the image was NOT hard coded in the header.php file nor on the page.php file. (I didn’t remember touching those files, but hey — see all that grey hair? Memory isn’t what it used to be).

No worries… what is important is that you got it working.
