Two-field registration possible (like WordPress registration)?

Can Ultimate Member support registration with just username and email?

This would be similar to WordPress’ registration where the user registers with two fields, receives a verification email and, upon clicking the link in the verification email, must choose a password.

Here’s what I tried: 1. Configured Ultimate Member to only ask for username and email on registration form (required verification in the role setting). When user returned to the site, they were required to enter a password to login, but it wasn’t clear what it might have been set to. Thus stuck.

Ideas?
