You want to use post_type not show_post_type: https://mctagmap.tugbucket.net/options/post_type/

I updated the plugin, version 17.0.17, to allow for multiple post types. SO for your shortcode, please update the plugin and try:

[mctagmap show_posts="yes" post_type="ricetta, post" show_navigation="yes" width="350px" columns="2″]

… and: is it possible to reduce the big white space between L and M letters? This gap is strange because it seems the “M posts” have enough space to be displayed under the “L posts”. See here

I mention that the “columns” option is old, like real old and you should probably use the responsive option: https://mctagmap.tugbucket.net/options/responsive/

Tried, and it lists posts on one column only. Is that what I should achieve? I Like so much more columns if possible. See here

just change the 350px in the width to something smaller or use percentages.
