Two backups after time change

    After the time change last Sunday (one hour back) backwpup made two backups for most of my websites. I hope, when we change back one hour forward it makes at least one backup.

    Last year I reported the same problem and this year it occurs again on two sites. But last year with the next weekly backup the problem did not occur again. I would wait for the next backup circle.

    I also guess, that the problem is related to the change from summer to winter time.

    thank you for reminding me about the timezone issue, I think it’s is a temproary issue with WP Cron job, to avoid the issue happens again in the next year, I would suggest to using more reliable cron system like server cron or an online service like cron-job.org(FREE for commercial use too), just setup your job to run with a link then paste that link into server cron or online cron service and they will handle the rest.

    The problem appeared on Nov 1st. I have a monthly backup schedule for websites on multiple hosters for the 1st of the month. Problem appeared three days after time change (–>wintertime). It appreared on all hoster (two) and multiple servers. All cases use WP-Cron and the WP cron is not triggered via server cron or online cron service.

    I will use EasyCron.com or cron-job.org for all my backwpup triggers in the future ??

    By the way: why is cron-job.org not implemented into BackWPup? Because there is no API?

    Recommend cron-job.org is just my preferred way for you and others have same kind of this issue ??
