So, a strange thing has happened, and I can tell the difference, but not how to fix it.

I recently changed my site to use the featured image at the top of posts. When I publish to Twitter with these posts, it creates an summary type post that looks like this, and when clicking on it, it expands to looks like this. Here’s the post for those entries.

Previously, when I posted, by inserting the image into the post, not using featured, it turned out like this on Twitter, and added the post to my Photo’s and Videos section in Twitter. Original post here

I’ve tested this, including my new post theme changes, and it is still consistent, including the image in the post creates a Photo/Video type entry in Twitter. Including the image as Featured Image, creates the summary twitter card.

So here’s my question. How can I adjust my blog to create the Photo/Video type Twitter post using the Featured Image?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Looking at your most recent tweets, it looks like you’ve managed to solve the issue by yourself? The images seem to be properly embedded into your tweets.

In the future, as long as the image is large enough, and is inserted into the post (not just defined as Featured Image), Jetpack’s Publicize module should be able to add it to the Publicized tweet.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.
