twitter:description not getting generated

    Hello,

    For some reason, Yoast not generating twitter:description tag for my custom post type.

    I can see it generate og:description but not for twitter. What could be wrong?

    Did you define a custom Twitter description from the Yoast SEO meta box? If yes and the issue persists, can you please confirm whether this is an issue specific to your custom post types only or to all post types on your site?

    I didn’t define that. og:description is getting picked without defining so I think twitter:description should too?

    Hi @scorpiock,

    You are correct, the Twitter description should be generated by default if there is a meta description. However, your URL does not have a meta description either, which is why we believe you might have only set a custom OG description. This would explain why the meta description and Twitter description are missing.

    Please check if this is the case and let us know.
