Twitter Tools not updating

Same here…the tools have ceased their operation on our end.

actually i was at 2.8.4 and now at 2.8.5 it is working again. but i didn’t test right before i upgraded so maybe it’s something on twitter’s end.

The problem is only with the Digests. It worked fine in 2.8.3, stopped working in 2.8.4 and still doesn’t work in 2.8.5 for me.

I’m hoping Alex will fix this with a new update of Twitter Tools soon.

i am using wp to twitter and it works excellent i am using wp 2.8.5

AN update on my end. I too am experiencing that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know if it’s keywords causing it or what but I am going to take a similar stab and say its Twitter that changed something. All I know is the majority of “chance” isn’t in my favor as out of the last 10 or so posts…only one made it through to Twitter.

Seems to be a growing list of failures here. I, too, am experiencing failures to update Twitter using Twitter Tools 2 and WP 2.8.5.

Just stopped working a few days ago. 90% of posts don’t show up on Twitter.

OK, I tried installing the Twitter Tools: bit.ly plugin just in case Twitter is having trouble with converting or accepting URLs for some reason. So far it seems to be working. Will report back if it stops.

good to know that I’m not alone with the twitter tools problem.

Today my personal blog doesn’t tweet my new post, but manual tweets from WP-backend are working.
Another blog of mine posts no digest since some days.

I thought i should really update to twitter tools 2.0, but nothing changed ??

Same for me on 2 different blogs running WP 2.8.5 and TT 2.0, no more auto tweets when publishing a note.

Same problems for me. WP2.8.5 first Twitter Tools didnt post to Twitter, and now it posts but no Bit.ly URL.

I upgraded to WP 2.8.5 and then installed Twitter Tools. So far, it’s working, feeding tweets to my blog.

Sorry Alex, but your FAQ’s don’t address the problem that everyone here is having – TWITTER TOOLS IS BROKEN, AND NOT UPDATING TWITTER WITH ALL NEW POSTS. It appears to have something to do with changes to Twitter and specific keywords in the title of posts. That has been my experience.

This was a great plugin when it worked….

If someone would like to document a reproducible use case, I’ll be happy to look into it. Thus far, all issues I’ve seen and that the WordPress HelpCenter have looked into have been addressed by the notes on that page.

Also, assuming that this is a bug and shouting about it is not really a good way to request someone to donate their time to help you.

My apologies if my response came off as rude. I used all caps to express my frustration that everyone seems to be having a similar problem, but so far we haven’t found a solution.

I am happy to provide details of when Twitter Tools has worked, and when it hasn’t. What other type of information do you need?
