Twitter Tools not posting to Twitter

We added Twitter Tools to our blog recently and have never been able to get it to work. We followed the installation steps and successfully linked to Twitter, but whenever a new post goes out, it doesn’t go to Twitter. Does anybody know what we could be doing wrong?
