    Hello,

We have a strange one where the text for twitter share, or part of it, displays to the left of the twitter share icon:

    “Read more” class=”tw-share” title=”Tweet this post!”>”

This is new and only started yesterday.

I have discovered it is because using the get_excerpt as the default content is pulling in the html including the read more button.

2.2 strips all html and read more from the default tweet

@westcoastdigital thank you for the update.

How do we fix posts that went out with 2.1 installed as when I enabled 2.2 those posts (even after flushing cache/history/wordpress cache) are still displaying with

    ” Read more” class=”tw-share” title=”Tweet this post!”> ”

to the left of the twitter icon.

hmm I am not sure honestly. How many posts are there, to many to re-save them?
Maybe try re-saving permalinks to see if that triggers anything?

Hello, I have re-saved the posts and the permalinks and still not updating. If I replace the post the permalink includes the post ID so that will cause some issues with the social sharing so not something I would prefer doing.

Where does it save the URL for social sharing maybe I can edit via phpmyadmin?

The update didn’t fix anything for me either. I tried to uninstall and reinstall also.
