Twitter share fix needed!

    Hello,

    Why twitter share does not add post or page picture most of the times and facebook share does it perfectly every time? I use yoast (free version) and i have enabled all social share facebook and twitter options from the plugin. In the post i have enabled twitter option with sassy social share and all plugins are updated. I have tested twitter share two or three days.

    If i try twitter share 10 up to 50 times then sometimes it recognizes post picture and normal share is possible at that moment, but this is not normal (usable solution), it should work all the time, like facebook works. No extra changes needed to change, just rarely it works with twitter + yoast plugin, please help to find solution.

  • I encounter the same issue and it is very annoying.

    Hello icemanau,

    Yes it is annoying, better do not work at all, then easier to find fix. I turned off Sassy Social Share and used theme default share option and it is the same, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

    Even when I post the URL directly in Twitter post, sometimes it works and sometimes, it doesn’t.

    I have cross checked with Twitter validator and my webpages and blogs are validated: https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator.

    So I am scratching my head, what is the root cause of this issue. Is it the Yoast plugin?

    Hopefully, this can be resolved by the Dev team quickly.

    Thank you for looking it, did it work from the first time? I share one link from twitter side, that is missing picture and the post has picture from website.

    These cases i have more than one, i have deleted and re-shared some, to fix the post missing picture @ twitter.

    From icemanau: So I am scratching my head, what is the root cause of this issue. Is it the Yoast plugin? Hopefully, this can be resolved by the Dev team quickly.

    I am not sure, what it is, only Yoast plugin has Twitter options, no other plugins have options for Twitter in my case and i am using my theme Twitter integration for sharing, no extra plugin now ( same was with share plugin).

    Other thing it can be maybe, is cache issue, but all is working well for FB. WordPress is updated, Theme is updated, all Plugins are updated. I already asked my server provided and sent email to Twitter, but support email [email protected] does not answer emails and it asks to send issue to web form https://help.twitter.com/forms, what i have not done yet.

    Hello to all,

    Why some of the shared post pictures are gone, even if i shared them earlier with pictures and they showed pictures before on twitter? Shares that show pictures or not are changing, one time it shows, next time its not.
