I combined your plugin with Yoast SEO and the Facebook share button now works really well: it pulls the post title, description and image tags as set via the Yoast Social tab.

But I am really disappointed with the Twitter share button: all it does is get the post URL. No image, no description, even afer I set the correct Meta tags with Yoast. So all of that has to be done manually: copying and pasting the content and uploading an image.

Is there no way of getting the share button to pull those tags automatically, since they are correctly set in the document header? If not, is that something you would consider adding to the plugin? Or is it available in the Premium version?

    Thanks

Look into implementing “Twitter Card” meta tags on your pages using Yoast or another plugin that handles meta tags.

Thanks, it’s working now. I already had Twitter Cards set up, but because it’s a development site I had noindex in the robots.txt file and this was stopping Twitter from reading the tags properly. Once I disabled robots.txt it started to work.
