Does anyone ever have issues with Twitter not using the og:image on the large summary cards when the resolution (or file size maybe) is really large? Say 6000 x 4000. When I reduce the image it works fine.

Twitter’s image guidelines include a minimum and a maximum.

Images for this Card support an aspect ratio of 2:1 with minimum dimensions of 300×157 or maximum of 4096×4096 pixels.

    Ah perfect, thanks for that.

Is there a reason why the plugin doesn’t use WP resizing functions to convert oversized images to a valid size?

It’s currently not a feature of the plugin, but please feel free to create a feature request on GitHub if this is a functionality you would like to see implemented.

We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new feature request for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You can create a new issue to submit your feature request. You will need an account to create one.

Don’t forget to include the URL to this conversation in your feature request.
