I’m using this plugin. In the Broken Link checker dashboard in WPMU DEV, I see Tweets or Twitter links are showing an Internal Request Error. Here is the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/d7tXTw.jpg. Please let me know how to fix that.

The total number of broken links is huge in some links (SS below). How is this number coming? https://snipboard.io/voU7Vn.jpg.

Even after updating the link in bulk from the WPMU dashboard it not updating.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @swapanmanna

    Hope you are doing fine.

The error about the twitter links shows a general error, which indicates that BLC could not complete the scan of the?link. Most likely that Twitter blocked access for us, when finding several calls from the crawler. Since this is a protection feature from Twitter the recommended action is to ignore the broken links reported.

About the number of links, are you referring to the 21 number? If so, it is actually an error code indicating BLC was not able to complete the scan. Please find more info here:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/broken-link-checker/#error-21-internal-request-error
If I am missing anything about this last question please let me know.

Hope this information helps, feel free to reply if you have additional questions or concerns.

    Kind regards

    Luis

    Hi @swapanmanna

It seems that for some reason Broken Link Checker crawler attempted to follow those links. Usually this would happen if there’s a link pointing to another link or there’s a “list of links” and I think this may be somehow related to the fact that it’s Twitter.

It actually shouldn’t “dig down” into external links like that but there may be some glitch or exception here. Is this some sort of Twitter embed on the page? Or some custom code that includes twits on page in some other way than embed?

I don’t see any on the homepage (maybe I missed it) but maybe there is on some other page of the site?

    Kind regards,
    Adam
