I think the problem is the subjective term ‘best’.
It might be easiest if you could list the features you wanted.
i.e. display tweets in a list, in a side bar
send tweets
aggregate tweets
send post excerpts as tweets,
etc.
I too am looking for a decent twitter plugin for a site as well.
Of course, there are a ton of twitter related wp plugins (like many other functions as well).
Personally, I am looking for:
Must have:
1 – can display tweets on site, in page or sidebar.
2 – option for tweet subscription.
Nice to have:
send post notices as tweets
send tweets from page
can aggregate tweets for archives.
So far, I have not found any great resources for comparing plugins with feature comparisons.
