Twitter info on profile

It would be extremely useful if the WordPress user information panel would include (natively, without plugin support) the option to add one’s Twitter username, as well as native support for this as a parameter in the_author_meta function.

Considering the service’s popularity nowdays, it would seem that being able to display a link to a Twitter page (assuming a theme is modified appropriately) might be a rather helpful feature .
