Checking through the twitter:image size we do see the assigned image is approx. 9MB. Sometimes the image size is an issue where the large image size fails to render the sharing the page.

To confirm, if it’s an image size issue can you please optimize the image size to less than 2MB in size and retry?

We look forward to hearing from you.

im pretty sure we have tried that already, but we will do it again. found this info on twitter.

    https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/overview/summary#:~:text=Images%20for%20this%20Card%20support,and%20GIF%20formats%20are%20supported.

    ok, problem solved! take a look… https://twitter.com/FlipFlopClown/status/1492687179776155648

thank you for that! now by solving this problem it opened up a can of worms for more problems. Keep in mind that we have thousands of web pages on our site and its almost impossible to go page by page and manually check each twitter image and see which one has this issue.

do u know of any tool out there that could scan an entire site in order to check to see if the images on the twitter summary cards are working properly on every page of the site?

been testing out the same thing with other pages on the site and its just a hit or miss. take a look at our twitter page so u can c other links that we have shared and the images dont show up even after compiling with the specs from twitter.

    Hi @flipfloptheclown

The Yoast SEO plugin helps output Twitter tags that help for enhanced social sharing when sharing one of your posts or pages in a new Tweet. You can refer to this article for more information on how to troubleshoot this – https://yoast.com/help/twitter-sharing-not-working/

You can use the Twitter Card Validator Tool to input a URL and see if Twitter is able to crawl and read the Twitter tags being output by our plugin.

Could you check on that for one of your most recent posts or pages and see if you are getting the expected preview?

yeah ive read that article before. Like I said, it seems to be a hit or miss thing. for example, on Feb. 12th, when I first posted my reply on here and also posted those tweets, the tweets were not showing the images. But if you go today to view those same tweets then you will be able to see the images. I’m not sure what the issue is.

    Hi,

Well, it really depends on the tweet as well. If you’re adding links from other websites (not from your own site), we wouldn’t exactly be sure what the social preview would be.

What we can be certain of is that you can view the page source of the posts and pages on your site, and then verify the Twitter tags that are being output by Yoast SEO, and then verify it in the Twitter Card Validator Tool to see if it’s picking up the expected image, title, and description, before sending it as a Tweet. That’s what we can check on reliably.
