Hi am having problems with my twitter feed which had been working perfectly until recently.

Originally I obtained the script from my twitter account and pasted into a text box in my content sidebar. Problem is it no longer shows tweets but rather just a link to my tweets.

If I run the script from a page or post it works in the page and also in the content sidebar as it does not show in the sidebar unless the relevant page is loaded it is useless.

Have alternatively tried use the Easy Twitter Feed widget but again with the same result

Has there been any extra security in the recent release that would possibly block the script

My website is https://scfnw.org.uk if you want to see it

    Any assistance gratefully accepted

    Regards

    Brian

Not getting any response I reposted above query in installation section and although this was removed I will still share with you the workaround I discovered to make the twitter feed work within the content sidebar.

    1. Obtain the script in the usual way by logging in to your twitter account and set the height you require for your widget (don’t set a width)

    2. Do not copy the script into the wordpress site but into a blank webpage outside of the WP site. Mine was at https://scfnw.org.uk/allinone.htm

    3. Create a new text box in the contents sidebar in your WP site. In there add an iframe loading the page you created. Give the iframe a width of 100% and a height a little greater than the height you set at 1 (to avoid an additional vertical scrolling bar with in widget display) The code I entered into my text box was:
    <iframe width=”100%” height=”1100″ src=”https://scfnw.org.uk/allinone.htm&#8221; frameborder=”0″></iframe>

Ok its a long winded way round to get something to work that had previously worked “out of the box” but it now works for me.

Hope it helps anyone else with the same problem.
