Twitter feed gives php error

It appears something in wp total cache is causing an error with my “really simple twitter” widget, and also my facebook widget, both in my sidebar.
It is a difficult thing to test what is causing the problem, as everytime I change a setting and clear the cache, it goes back to normal, but within a few hours shows the error. The error is cleared now so I can’t give the exact error, but it has something to do with a php function not existing.
Has anyone run into something like this? If so is there a fix, or possibly a better twitter widget to use than the one I mentioned?
Any help would be appreciated.
