    Hi: I gave up on Facebook, they ruined it. Your steps probably wouldn’t work. Only posting to Twitter and now this, log goes back only to 11/13/18. Don’t know how long it’s been happening:

    Error posting on twitter. Error: {“errors”:[{“code”:185,”message”:”User is over daily status update limit.”}]}

    Have your latest version.

    Hi there, for Facebook please see here: https://docs.revive.social/article/926-how-to-go-through-the-facebook-review-process it does work and users do get success. The only thing is you’d need to have a business utility bill or something to prove that you’re a business to finish the process.

    Regarding twitter please disconnect your account and see here: https://docs.revive.social/article/914-how-to-create-a-twitter-application-for-revive-old-post

    Once you create your app and reconnect your twitter account everything should be fine

    Thanks but this has gotten seriously ridiculous. Twitter wants you to apply for a developer account before creating any new apps!!! That’s NOT in your step by step guide! I already have the app connected to Revive. Why isn’t it working? I edited it according to your guide, at least the parts I can access. The Callback URL is utterly confusing. It won’t accept what you say and Twitter’s guide is well, even app engineers probably can’t make head or tail of it.

    I’ve no way to test if the updates I made to my existing app will get Revive working again since you removed the ability to send manually. I did test it by Stop Sharing and turning it back on. Then there’s a few seconds count down and it sends. Nothing on Twitter though. And it finally appeared in the log:

    01/11/2019 8:52:31 AM

    Error posting on twitter. Error: {“errors”:[{“code”:185,”message”:”User is over daily status update limit.”}]}

    Both Facebook and Twitter allowed everyone to do anything they wanted on their platforms and now they’ve locked it up, covering their own negligent behinds! Made it hell for us legit publishers!!!

    Hi @karunaray,

    Apologies if our documentation is not accurate.

    Facebook and Twitter changes their policy from time to time.
    Kindly comply to all the needed details so you can get your developer account approved. We are working in updating our documentation with regard to Twitter’s new policy.

    Facebook and Twitter do change their API and it’s your job to keep your users updated. The hoops we have to go through now is beyond ridiculous. And NONE of you plugin makers have big enough klout to advocate for your users with these giant social media platforms. Both Facebook and Twitter messed up for years, NOT paying attention to what bad actors were doing on their platforms, how many bots they allowed, and all the “influence” operations that have happened regarding national elections, etc. Now we’re all paying the price! If Revive or any such entity had any direct relationship with FB and/or Twitter, perhaps we wouldn’t have to become “developers” just to share our helpful and benign blog posts on these platforms. I’ve given up on auto sharing. Your apps are full of bugs too, even before FB and Twitter made access impossible. I’m sharing manually now. More work, but also more targeted. Thank god I didn’t pay for Revive! And thank god there are still other scheduling apps that DO still work, though not totally automatically.

    Hi there,

    Sorry our plugin isn’t currently living to your expectations. Unfortunately we do not have control over the changes Facebook and Twitter make over their platforms but we do try to keep our documentation as up to date as possible if something changes in the process.

    We will at some point look into not requiring users create their own apps but then the question that would be raised is how can we police the type of content being shared via our plugin to social media. As you already know there are bad characters in this world.

    I am familiar with your Error and the fix is as I mentioned before:

    For Facebook please see here: https://docs.revive.social/article/926-how-to-go-through-the-facebook-review-process it does work and users do get success. The only thing is you’d need to have a business utility bill or something to prove that you’re a business to finish the process.

    The twitter error you’re receiving is relatively easy to fix. You just need to disconnect your account from the plugin and then make an app according to the instructions we provide.
