Twitter count not showing any more

    Some time before the last update, the Twitter counts on my blog stopped showing:

    I thought an update will surely fix this, so I waited. Yesterday, the update came, but the Twitter counts are still not showing. Is it something on my end? It was working fine before and I don’t recall changing anything on the site.

    This is actually due to a change on Twitter’s end. We will no longer be able to display counts on the Twitter button due to the API changes they made a few weeks ago.

    There is no way to work around this, as all twitter buttons and all plugins will suffer from the same issue and won’t be able to use the Twitter API anymore.

    Oh, that sucks. I sort of feared that but hoped it wasn’t the case. Thanks for the quick reply!
